   Never played rugby before.live in kanata and looking to get into it.23 year old male in pretty good condition.any info on a team or club close to kanata for beginners would be great

   Hi, I just moved to Ottawa and am looking to get involved in a team/club in central Ottawa (downtown if possible). I’m a 23 year old male and have played rugby throughout high school university. Any info on teams or clubs that I could join nearby would be great. Cheers, Ron

    Kevin: Please contact one of the clubs listed above to find out practice locations. I believe the Ottawa Beavers and Ottawa Wolves are the only ones that practice downtown.

    I am a 15 year old woman. I have no experience in rugby what so ever, live in Gatineau and I would like to start playing this summer, is it possible?

    Hi there,

    Im 19 turning 20 in a few months. And I have a massive love for rugby. I live about 5 minute away from the corner of Montreal road and St.laurent. So I guess more east. Any teams close by?

    Daniel,

    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Beacuse you live in the east end the logical club for you to contact would be the Ottawa Irish. They are east end based and train at Col By High School.
    Two other possible options are the Bytown Blues or the Ottawa Beavers. Both the Blues and Beavers are more a little more downtown.
    Feel free to contact the clubs directly and see which one fits you better.

    Please contact both Hull, Coven and the Ottawa Irish. They all run very competitive women’s team whose training is located relatively close to you.

    Hey hows it going? I’m a Carleton university student who lives near campus. Played rugby all throughout high school and looking to get back into it, didn’t know which place would be best for me to contact. Preferably more recreational but open to play competitive again. Looking to play a few nights a week nothing crazy just want to have some fun. Please send me in the right direction, thanks for your time!

    I live out in rockland. I get the feeling there isn`t much out this way. Do you know which club would be the closest?

    There are many people from Rockland who play for the Ottawa Irish Rugby Club.
