   As expected the game was a little sloppy as the EORU U16′s have not been together for the past 5 weeks, but they were able to hold on for a 24-22 win over the Quebec U16′s. There were also several starters not in attendance, three of which were staring with Newfoundland at Nationals AND have all been invited to attend a regional camp for Canada’s U17′s this Sept.

   There were also several new players called upon to play for the U16′s to fill in for those were not not present. A couple of new players from the Privateers, 2 from the Indians, 1 from the Scottish and 2 twin brothers from Chelsea who ended up playing for Quebec as they had few subs.    A big congratulations to my nephew Ryan Carroll on his selection to the EORU U16′s! Well done Ryan, now you just need a cauliflower ear like your old man and I.
