First Aid in Rugby Course

World Rugby First Aid in Rugby (FAIR) Course – Ottawa, ON
Algonquin College | Sunday, February 28th at 8:30 AM

Injuries can occur in any contact sport, and while serious or life-threatening injuries in rugby are rare occurances, we all know that the sport is not immune to the possibility of these circumstances.

However, through knowledge gained from taking the FAIR course, the outcome of many injuries can often be improved by first aid skills administered by bystanders (parent, club official, manager, coach, referee, other players, etc.) until emergency help arrives.

It is increasingly important that our rugby community be equipped with the skills taught in FAIR as a means of aiding those involved in the game, should an injury occur. Player welfare is the top priority for World Rugby and proper first aid training starts by taking FAIR.
