St. Patrick’s Day Run for CHEO

CHEO Foundation Logo

In the 26th year of the St. Patrick’s Day Run, the Ottawa Irish Rugby Club has partnered with the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).  CHEO is a pediatric health and research centre providing outstanding family-centered patient care, pioneering breakthrough research, and training the health care professionals of tomorrow. CHEO has touched so many families in our area so we could not think of a better charity for us to help.

The run started as an initiative to encourage off season training for our club and other rugby clubs.  The race has grown into the unofficial start to the outdoor running season as well as a very enjoyable way to start the St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The race has three categories; a 10 km race, a 5 km race as well as a new JUNIOR SPARTaN 1 km race.  The Junior Spartan race will be geared toward the 6 to 12 year old.  So follow the Running Room link and come join us a great time and if possible please make a small donation to CHEO during the registration process.
