A CAPITAL IDEA FOR A JUNIOR RUGBY TOUR THIS SUMMER !

The 2012 National Capital Youth Rugby Festival offers balanced, competitive matches to all levels of young men’s and women’s rugby teams within an exciting and festive atmosphere at the Twin Elm Rugby Park in Ottawa. Full facilities and five rugby pitches means the action and excitement are non-stop!

The Organizing Committee is again placing a strong focus on the traditional positive values of the game, emphasizing fair play and sportsmanship on the field, in addition to social interaction off the pitch. Teams are encouraged to include post game activities such as recognition awards and speeches by players and coaches after each fixture. After the success of the 2011 Festival , the 2012 event will continue with the two-day format, permitting teams an excellent opportunity to enjoy the tourist attractions available in the National Capital Region.

Some of the popular activities include shopping in Ottawa’s Market Area, several National Museums, Parliament Hill, White Water Rafting, the Mont Cascades Water Park and much more! Our accommodation partner for this event is Algonquin College Residences.

The Festival entry fee is $250.00 Cdn. per team for two days of fun and excitement including four quality rugby matches.

Games are abbreviated to comply with the 90-minute maximum of rugby per day as permissible under IRB regulations.

The different divisions include:

  • U-15, U-18 Junior Women
  • U-16, U-18 Junior Men
  • U14 Junior Men
