Ottawa, ON- April 12, 2022– High School coaches from around Ottawa were invited to attend a practice planning clinic led by the EORU Jr. Rep Academy coaches on Monday, April 11, 2022.

It was a successful first clinic, orchestrated by the Academy Lead Boys’ Coach, Aaron McDonald and supported by coaches (alphabetically): Anne Haley, Leah Pedis, Marius Felix, Paul Shiabata, and Ryan Surgenor. Eight local high school coaches attended the clinic and left with 10 practice plans that were recently used in the Academy’s Winter session. The feedback has been positive and we are excited to see how this expands in the coming years.

A big thanks to Glebe High School and the efforts from the boys’ rugby team, including coach, Katie Bond, who supported this initiative. The collaboration between high schools and representative rugby is important. The EORU Academy places a heavy emphasis on supporting grassroot rugby and giving back to the community.
